Yan and I decided to have our babysitter come as usual on Tuesday and spent the day the way we used to, when we first met. We had a blast! We started out at the Courtenay Airpark for a rollerblade.
Then we went to Nymph Falls for a nice trail run in the heat of the day, followed by a refreshing swim at my all-time FAVORITE spot, Barber's Hole. This place is magical and we haven't been swimming there in 2 years! We spent about a hour lying in the sun on the rocks...oh the sweet pleasure :)
Next we headed into town where we got slurpies and rented a double kayak and went for a 2 hour paddle into the estuary.
We saw many seals playing at the mouth of the river. They are so cute when they stay mainly under water!
We finished our day with dinner on the patio of a local restaurant. It was the perfect date-day!
